Northwest Coast Trails Coalition
The Northwest Coast Trails Coalition (NCTC) took shape as a regional collaboration serving to connect communities through non-motorized trails in Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington. Formed in 2015, the coalition was founded with the intent to cooperatively plan, build, maintain and promote a well-connected and easy-to-use system of multi-use, non-motorized recreational trails.
As this was a new organization, one of the main challenges was the audience’s perception of the coalition as a trustworthy, locally owned and run organization. To do this we incorporated the identity of the area. Tree covered sloping hillsides represent the coastline and cool colors represent the mood of the beaches in the pacific northwest.

The illustrated art supplies and tools represent both the first initial step of sketching as well as all of the tools design students might use to achieve their final project. The objects aren’t organized by likeness or pattern because creating a project can be hectic and messy.
